Consisting of beautiful mountains of old growth forest, the park is located 14 km northeast of the Santa Cruz district in Guanacaste.<\/p>\n

Description:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Diria National Park protects various unique ecosystems in on the Nicoya Peninsula. It\u00b4s area covers more than 300 exceptional tree species, including the beautiful native Pochotes, mahogany and other hard woods. In addition to the evergreen trees and beautiful bromeliads, many animal species can be spotted, such as cappuccino monkeys, jaguarundis, peccaries, howler monkeys. The main life zones of the Diria National Park are the tropical dry forest and the premontaneous wet forest.<\/p>\n

There are two beautiful hiking trails from which you can watch wild life and in distance a refreshing waterfall. The scenic view is breath taking.<\/p>\n

Thanks to this diversity of flora, fauna and water resources Diria National Park is an excellent study site and a great place for touristic activities, recreation as well as the protection of natural resources.<\/p>\n
